V2H Basic is a dynamically controllable DC charger for energy management in non-public areas. It is thus the first commercially available device for the integration of V2X-capable series vehicles into an existing building installation.
As an interface between the building and a V2X-capable electric vehicle, the vehicle battery becomes a building storage device. In this way, solar energy can be stored during the day and used in the evening and night, or costly power peaks can be avoided.
The vehicles used as storage systems provide the house with up to 90% of their battery capacity in order to store excess solar power or to buffer load peaks through machine inrush currents, cooling, heating, cooking or heat pumps.
